Frequent failures of Paperpile

You are logged out of Paperpile.
If you are starting Paperpile from a new computer or if you haven't logged in for a long time, you may have been logged out of Paperpile.
Go to the home page of Paperpile to sign in again.
Once you have signed in, try reloading your desired page or re-running your desired action.

Open Paperpile and go to Settings, click Uninstall.
This will uninstall the Word plugin - a part of our application that makes it possible to manipulate your Word documents.
Go to the folder where you installed Paperpile (usually C:\Program Files\Paperpile) and run the Uninstall Paperpile.

Installing the Chrome extension Paperpile will ask you to install the extension the first time you use Paperpile on a computer.
Click "Install extension" and you will be sent to the Chrome Webstore.
In the Webstore, click the blue "Add to Chrome" button to install the extension.

The first time you start to write a paper in Google Docs, and want to add a citation, click the Paperpile menu at the top.

Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall running in the background. Now, if you can access Paperpile, be informed that your security software is causing problems. Try adding Paperpile to the set of trusted sites.
